This week the Penguins have been looking at the story of Where the Wild Things Are. We were given the challenge of making a boat so we could sail away just like Max. This has tied in nicely with our floating and sinking investigations too!

The penguins did a brilliant job of making instructions this week. We followed them perfectly and made some tasty bread!
This week our class visitor, Joey the rabbit has been struggling with the daily routine. We had to write a set of instructions so that everyone would know what to do. Haven't the Penguins done a great job?!
Today we have enjoyed Halloween with spooky stories and a creepy crawly bug hunt.
The penguins have been busy again this week, we were busy little squirrels for Harvest assembly. We've been practising our rhyming words for our Autumn poem and have come up with some wonderful adjectives for our Autumnal pictures, well done Penguins and have a great half term!
All year one were involved in looking for potatoes which we planted earlier in the year. We had a bumper crop and we look forward to tasting them tomorrow. Messy .....and we found some creepy crawlies too!
Tyler has been so proud of making it to Rookie 3 in his ice skating. Well done Tyler.
Congratulations Amy . Well done on your level 6, 7 and 8 gymnastic awards.
We had a great party on Friday afternoon, celebrating everyone on green for 2 weeks followed by an award ceremony where everyone received a certificate and present from Mrs Elliott. Hoping you all have a great time in year 2. Going to miss you all very much Owls.
