Lemurs have had a fantastic day with Chris Wilde using Lego WeDo... we have made mechanisms out of Lego, created codes and used logical reasoning! By working collaboratively in groups, we have created mechanisms such as alligators, spinners, football games and lions.
We had a great time starting our new PE topic - Athletics. We even had the help from Churchill Commuity College. We enjoyed building teamwork and independent skills during a range of tasks. Using stop watches, let us record our times and try and beat or best scores!
The lemurs have had a fantastic time creating 'pic collages' to represent each continent. We have searched for images, saved them, uploaded images, changed backgrounds, changed layouts and even added text! Don't they look great?

Great tennis skills today in PE.
Lemurs have worked great in teams to design and create an innovative product for the Tyne Together project. The class voted anonymously and chose Invisiball. Well done everyone - great creativity.
Great dance sequences and expression today in Lemur class. Children gave great constructive feedback and offered great ways to improve each sequence for both their own group and for others.

This week, we have been using our ipads to search for synonyms and antonyms. Lemurs have done a great job developing their vocabulary and writing powerful sentences - well done Lemurs.
Lemurs have worked very hard this term and have enjoyed making beautiful calendars for the new year. They have also designed Christmas cards and sewed winter mittens. Have a brilliant Christmas lemurs and enjoy your well deserved break. See you Wednesday 4th January
Some of the Lemurs had a great opportunity to experience Google Expedition using virtual reality headsets. They loved it - especially exploring under water and flying through the air.
